North Adelaide Residence
North Adelaide, South Australia, 2015
A much loved family home, this original Russell Prescott designed 1980’s residence was a product of its age, and whilst not quite wearing shoulder pads, was ripe to be reinvented and updated to make full use of the abundant space, light and solid bones.
New highlights include the beautifully slim steel windows and bi-fold doors used to accentuate the generously tall dining room ceiling and the stunning natural stone flooring which flows throughout the ground floor and out into the new pavilion, encouraging the indoor/outdoor connection. A new pavilion re-orientates the outdoor spaces, and gives structure to the garden and pool areas.
