Stable House
Medindie, 2025
As an exploration of connection, containment and release, Stable House draws from the original form of the structure to the front of the property to create a contained and elevated residence. Having grown over many decade, the original family-centric home was the result of incremental additions, needing bringing together. Sitting to the rear of the property were the iconic tennis court and pool yet felt detached from daily life. In avoiding the main footprint further, the approach overlays a considered masterplan that engages amenity through new structures. The resulting architectural response reframes the site through a series of calibrated insertions that bridge past, present and future.
