Boxwell
Stirling, 2025
Boxwell is a deeply layered residential project nestled within the Adelaide Hills as a considered unfolding of time, material and memory. Sitting within a lush, mature and established garden, the home feels disconnected and secluded in its surrounds. The new works expand upon the original heritage Victorian homestead, that over the years, had evolved to suit its many custodians over the years. Now bound through a shared and deliberate material palette and formal composition, a patchwork of outbuildings fold amongst the main residence to form a hierarchy that aligns with each internal function. The arrangement allows the owners to both come together, and restfully reset, as needed.
