Park House
Adelaide, Adelaide, 2018
The house is a gentle clean curve around a north facing courtyard, making the most of its narrow block and orientation. Spaces flow with consistent materials; thresholds dissolve when doors are open and external materials at the entry push inside.
The outside is drawn in with controlled views to the courtyard, and expansive and encompassing glazing places one seemingly in the canopy of the Parklands across the road.
A solid house, but transparent, detailed but clean, Park House is an exercise in restraint and composure – a place for calm reflection and renewal.
